Kibera ArtFest aims to create a collection and exhibition of art and photography from Kibera-based artists and photographers and to showcase the abundant talent in Kibera. Select pieces will also be entered into a competition, which will be awarded by a panel of judges.

We received submissions from more than 40 Kibera-based artists and photographers and will be hosting an exhibition of their work. The opening of the exhibition and announcement of contest winners will be held on Thursday 27th June at 4 pm to 7 pm at the Uweza Art Gallery in Kibera. All are welcome!

Uweza Art Gallery is located at House 4, Olympic Estate in Kibera.

By public means:

Take the number 8 matatu from Railways or number 32 bus from Kencom. Alight at Olympic Stage, head toward Olympic Primary School and take the first right. On your left you will see Olympic Estate. Enter the estate, take the first left and then another left.
