The Haderslev Rotary Club is based in the city of Haderslev, Denmark and was founded in 1938.  Today, Haderslev Rotary Club has 65 members, and is a part of the worldwide movement, Rotary International, with approximately 1.200.000 Rotarians dispersed in 34.200 clubs around the world. The object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise. Haderslev Rotary Club is very active in youth programmes, and has both sent out and received countless exchange students to and from countries overseas.

The Haderslev Rotary Club partnered with Uweza to support the development of Uweza’s community center and the Uweza Art Gallery.  The grant has funded the creation of a library and computer lab at the Uweza center as well as start-up supplies for the Uweza Art Gallery. The Haderslev Rotary Club also coordinated a trip for two Uweza soccer players and one Uweza coach to visit Haderslev, stay with Danish families, and train with Haderslev Fodboldklub.
